Define Affiliate Marketing – The Short And Simple Way Of Understanding How Affiliate Marketing Works1/6/2017
To define affiliate marketing is extremely simple. First, let's take a look at how Wikipedia defines affiliate marketing, which is:
“Affiliate marketing is a type of performance-based marketing in which a business rewards one or more affiliates for each visitor or customer brought by the affiliate's own marketing efforts “ Or you can look at it as a way to make money by promoting someone elses product or website. How Does Affiliate Marketing Work? Well, once you have decided on your marketing strategy, all you really have to do is promote a product. Finding a product is typically pretty quick and easy. All you have to do is sign up for a free account with an Affiliate Marketplace. There are a few of them out there but here is a small (and I mean “small”) list for you. No Marketing Strategy? Article marketing, (“Bum marketing” like I'm doing here) is a great way to get targeted traffic to any website or link. Mainly because you are giving your readers what the want, answers to a question and then leading them to a product that can further help them solve their problems. The great thing about article marketing is that you don't need a website to promote from. There are several highly ranked article directories that you can submit you articles to. Here's another small list for you. Honestly, I prefer Ezinearticles and Hubpages to submit to. They seem to drive the most traffic to my website. After they have reviewed your article and made sure that it meets their guide lines, they'll approve it and post it. What's good about article directories is that there are a lot of people who are using a plug-in call auto-blogger. This allows them to pull new content from directories and have it posted on their websites. So if your article happens to be in the same category as what they are pulling form, then the chances of your article going viral is extremely high meaning more people reading what you wrote and driving more traffic to your link. I'm Not Good At Writing. I wasn't all that great at writing either when I first started. Honestly, I still believe I have a lot to learn. But just like everything else you do in life, “practice makes perfect”. The more you write the better you'll get at it. I remember I use to struggle just to get 1 article out a week. Now I'm typing 3 or 4 a day. Here are a few key points to remember when writing your articles
What If I Have Problems Writing There are ways of getting around that problem. Some hire a freelance writer to write their articles for them. You can hire one from Fiverr.com for about $5.00. I can't say how well they write because I've never used one so make sure that you read any reviews that were posted by others who might have bought their services. Then you have software that'll create articles for you. The only thing I can say about doing it this way is that you have to re-read what it spins out. I've tried one of these in the past and the words were so meshed together that the article made no sense. I pretty much had to re-write the entire article. Now, I'm not saying that all article spinners/writing software is bad. Just the one that I happened to use at that time was. I don't even remember the name of it anymore. Well, hopefully this article has helped you understand how affiliate marketing works. Check back often for new updates. Who knows what I'll write about next.
